Volunteer Centres are a one-stop shop for volunteer recruitment, as well as offering a range of good practice resources, training and expertise to help you manage and retain your volunteers.
Our three Centres work with organisations from all sectors to link potential volunteers with opportunities that match their interests and needs.
Your organisation can make use of our free service to advertise opportunities and recruit new volunteers. Opportunities registered with us can be uploaded to the ‘Do it’ website, which enables potential volunteers to browse online and apply via email.
To register your volunteering opportunities download the registration forms or contact your nearest centre to discuss your needs in more detail.
If you have one-off events or projects that need a team of volunteers at a specific time, click on 'Group volunteering' in the 'Group Services' Menu.
As well as recruiting volunteers, we offer expertise and training on all aspects of managing and supporting volunteers.
Our volunteering development services can help if you are setting up a new volunteer-involving programme, if you are new to supervising or managing volunteers, or if you are having problems with volunteers and need some advice about how to handle the issues.
The Volunteer Co-ordinators Forum is for people who work with volunteers to share good practice and learn from each other.
Download our free ‘Involving Volunteers: Good Practice Guide’, a series of introductory information sheets for anyone who finds themselves needing to recruit, manage or co-ordinate volunteers.
Browse our training calendar for workshops and courses on all aspects of volunteer management.
Contact your nearest centre for one to one advice and access to further resources, templates and other useful tools.
