How to volunteer

Contact us!

Every year, volunteers in Lincolnshire donate thousands of hours of their time free of charge to organisations that depend on voluntary support to run their valuable services. We have a nationally accredited Volunteer Centre service which can help you find something just right for you.

Once you contact us, you will be offered a one-to-one confidential interview with one of our advisers. Interviews are informal and will help you to find out more about volunteering and the range of opportunities we have available. We will work with you to select an organisation you want to volunteer with. We will then contact the organisation on your behalf and pass on your details to them. We will also follow you up within the first month and continue to maintain regular contact with you.

As a Volunteer you have the right to:

  • An induction and relevant training
  • Adequate support and supervision
  • Safe working conditions
  • Insurance cover for activities undertaken
  • Be treated in accordance with the organisation’s equal opportunities policy
  • Have access to a complaints procedure
  • Reimbursement of expenses
  • A fulfilling and enjoyable volunteering experience where you will develop self confidence, use your abilities, learn new skills, and gain knowledge
  • Have fun!
