West Lindsey Voluntary Sector Forum
West Lindsey Voluntary Sector Forum aims to strengthen and develop the Voluntary and Community Sector in West Lindsey. It brings together people from community and voluntary organisations to share skills, information, experience, good practice, resources and to work collectively on issues of common and minority interest.
The Forum is the representative body for Voluntary and Community Organisations in West Lindsey and seeks to maintain and develop relationships with other partners in the statutory and private sector. It elects representatives to the Local Strategic Partnership, serves as a channel of communication, and provides both formal and networking opportunities.
The Forum meets every two months and is open to any Voluntatry or Community Organisation operating in West Lindsey from small self help groups to larger or not for profit organisations, regardless of charitable status, who wish to be pro-active in contributing to the development of the quality of life for the community it serves.
The July Forum meeting was attended by Edward Leigh MP who was briefed on concerns and issues faced by the Voluntary Sector in West Lindsey.
Next meeting dates are: Friday, 3rd October, and Thursday, 11th December. All meetings are held at our Gainsborough office, 12.15pm (buffet lunch) for a 12.30pm start.
If you would like to represent your organisation at the Forum please contact Voluntary Centre Services, West Lindsey for further information.
